The Willow Pattern Story – Ceramic Workshop
Children's Activities
Join our artist-in-residence, Tamsin Jacson, in this hands-on art workshop where we learn about the intriguing story of The Willow Pattern, the famous blue and white ceramic design. It is a story of star-crossed lovers, tyrants, intrigue and drama inspired by both Japanese and Chinese fairytales, all told in intricate detail on plates, dishes, tableware still in use today.
Participants will get a chance to create their own plates inspired by the folktales and traditions of Ancient Asia. Ages 6+, all materials provided – first come first served.
