Archaeologists today use all kinds of incredible methods to explore human life in prehistory, including experimenting with ancient technologies. Join the Hearth of Science team from the Universities of Liverpool and Cambridge as they demonstrate how birch tar adhesive – the oldest synthetic material, and an innovation that goes back to Neanderthals – can be made, and how we study it today.
