Chalke History Festival Site
Bury Lane, Broad Chalke, Near Salisbury, Wiltshire SP5 5DP
The Festival site is on a working farm on the southern edge of Broad Chalke. The nearest towns are Salisbury (9 miles to the east), Shaftesbury (12 miles to the west) and Blandford (18 miles to the south).
Driving – there will be a one-way system in place so please allow extra time, especially at the weekend, to reach the Festival.
Please follow the signs to the Festival rather than your SatNav.
Please note: The A360, coming from the A303 north of Salisbury, is closed due to long term roadworks. Please check your route before you leave. There is more information from National Highways here.
Fordingbridge High Street is currently closed for maintenance, which may cause delays if you are travelling from that direction. More information here.
Trains run to Salisbury every 1/2 hour from London (please allow at least 45 minutes to the Festival).
Number 29 bus runs between Salisbury and Shaftesbury (Mon-Sat). There is a request stop by the Church then follow signs. The walk to the Festival is about a third of a mile.
