23 - 29 June 2025 - Broad Chalke, Salisbury
In June 1215, King John agreed to accept the terms of a charter that safeguarded the liberties of the clergy and noblemen. Only two months later, this great charter – the Magna Carta – was declared illegal by Pope Innocent III. Step back in time and experience what life was like in medieval England during this period of political turmoil, from period crafts such as basket weaving and wool dying to calligraphy and archery.
