CAMPING
Stay at Chalke and wake up to one of the best views in Wiltshire overlooking the festival site and Chalke Valley. Grass pitches for tents and motor-homes are available and the site has hot shower facilities, toilets, campsite food vendor and a picnic tent.
For a more luxurious stay, we have a range of Glamping Tents (available next year) in a dedicated area of the campsite. Enjoy exclusive showers and toilets, a reception area and access to our ‘Pamper Tent’.
MEMBERSHIP
Chalke Membership enhances your experience of the Chalke History Festival with a range of exclusive festival benefits, including early access to the programme, priority ticket booking, dedicated parking and priority seating at selected talks. Members also enjoy year-round access to a rich library of recorded festival talks, and live online discussions with leading historians and experts. READ THE FAQS
What’s included in my entry ticket?
Entry to all talks, living history areas, performance, live music, emporium, Waterstones book shop and food outlets, are all included in your entry ticket. In past years, talk tickets were sold separately but this led to confusion and complication for festival visitors. We decided to include all talks in your entry ticket so that you can enjoy all the talks on offer without the hassle of booking additional tickets.
Can I buy an evening ticket?
Yes, for those unable to join us for a full day, evening tickets can be bought for the festival from Monday – Saturday. These tickets will be available from April.
Where can I find the full festival line-up?
The full line-up is available here.
How can I reserve seats for talks?
All visitors to the festival will have access to watch the talks. However, only members of the Chalke History Club are able to reserve seats. As well as supporting the festival, Club members are entitled to numerous online and festival benefits, including access to past talks, live winter talks and festival parking.
