Support the Chalke History Festival and help it thrive.

Our Patrons, Benefactors, and Major Donors sustain the Chalke History Festival and the Chalke History Trust through their philanthropy. Their support enables world-class historians, educators, and immersive history experiences for thousands of visitors each year at the festival, in the classrooms, and further throughout the year.

Thanks to this generosity, the Chalke History Trust continues to share the joy, relevance, and importance of history through storytelling, debate, performance, living history, and innovative technology. Our supporters ensure that our shared past inspires new generations, leaving a lasting impact on cultural heritage and the appreciation of history across the UK, and beyond.

Benefactors and Major Donors

Benefactors, giving £5,000 and above, play a vital role in supporting the work of the Chalke History Trust and helping inspire the historians of tomorrow. Their support helps enable state schools to attend the Schools Festival and sustain the year-round educational work of the Trust. In recognition, Benefactors enjoy enhanced privileges including priority booking and concierge access to the programme, a seven-day festival pass with additional guest tickets, reserved VIP seating in the Guildhall and Moot tents, access to the Green Room with guests, dedicated Benefactors’ parking, and invitations to exclusive drinks or dinners with guest speakers. Benefactors also enjoy year-round access to the Chalke History Hub, including recorded talks and live online events with leading historians, along with acknowledgement on the website and the opportunity to sponsor a festival speaker.

Patrons

Patrons, either as single or double supporters, play an important role in supporting the work of the Chalke History Trust and helping ensure the long-term future of the Chalke History Festival. Their support helps sustain the Trust’s educational work, including inspiring young people through the Schools Festival. In recognition, Patrons enjoy priority access to the festival programme through a dedicated concierge, VIP seating in the Guildhall and Moot tents for pre-booked talks, access to the Green Room with a guest, and dedicated Patrons’ parking. Patrons are also invited to annual drinks with a guest speaker and acknowledged on the website, while enjoying year-round access to the Chalke History Hub with recorded talks, live online events with leading historians, and exclusive content.
