105. Mallory Reimagined: Climbing Back in TIme
Moot

Could George Mallory and Sandy Irvine have reached the summit of Everest in 1924? Join adventurers Hugo and Ross Turner, the Turner Twins, as they take you on a breathtaking journey back in time to explore this enduring mountaineering mystery. For their groundbreaking project: Mallory Reimagined, the twins climbed Mera Peak, at just under 6,500m Nepal’s highest trekking mountain, one wearing a faithful replica of the 1924 expedition gear, the other decked out in the latest high-altitude technology, creating a striking visual representation of just how much has changed in the century since the climb. In conversation with Alex Bescoby the Turner Twins will explore the extremes of human endurance, the ingenuity of past and present explorers, and the thrill of adventure as they reveal what it really takes to climb back in time… literally and figuratively.
