21. How Cricket Changed My Life
Forum

Cricket is more than a game, for some, it has been life-changing. Together with broadcaster Daniel Norcross, Author Annie Chave and Roland Butcher, the first Black cricketer to represent England in Test cricket, explore extraordinary human stories shaped by the sport that has altered the course of their own lives. From a Pakistani teenager left for dead by terrorists to the inimitable David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd, this is cricket far beyond the boundary. From overcoming trauma and displacement to breaking barriers and finding purpose, this discussion draws on Annie and Roland’s personal experience to reveal how cricket can shape lives in unexpected and deeply personal ways.
