Simon Hughes was a first-class cricketer who played for 15 years for Middlesex, Durham and Northern Transvaal. Since then he has written for the Independent, the Daily Telegraph, The Times and the Sunday Times and was editor of the Cricketer magazine 2014-2021.He has also written ten books on cricket, one of which, A Lot of Hard Yakka won the William HillSports book of the year in 1997. But he is probably best known as the Analyst on Channel 4’s Bafta-winning cricket coverage and he now hosts the Analyst Inside Cricket podcast, one of the most popular sports podcasts in the UK.
