Festival Volunteering
Volunteers play a vital role in the success of our festival and we are always looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team.
Volunteer Activities
General Volunteer
Our General Volunteers are the backbone of the Festival. From working in the speaker tents, to accompanying schools during their visit to the Schools Festival, this is a varied role throughout the week.
Team Leader
Team Leaders are responsible for a team of volunteers and manage and plan their activities throughout the day. Areas include the speaker tents, main entry gate and the volunteer tent.
Marketing & Social Media
Working with our Press team, volunteers will help to spread the word about all aspects of the Festival. You will need to have a good understanding of social media and be prepared to move quickly around the Festival site to find new images and stories.
Photographer
The Chalke History Festival is a visual feast and we need skilled photographers to capture the highlights from talks, events, re-enactments and performances. Photos will be used on our website, in press releases and in other communications.
