Emma Smith is Professor of Shakespeare Studies at Hertford College, Oxford. She has published widely on Shakespeare including This Is Shakespeare and Portable Magic: A History of Books and their Readers. She is a trustee and associate scholar of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
