Carrie Gibson is British-American historian and journalist. She received her PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2011, and The Great Resistance (Basic Books, 2026) is her third work of history. Before embarking on a career as a historian, Carrie was a journalist for the Guardian and Observer, and continues to contribute to media outlets. She is currently living in Seoul, South Korea.
