Peter Openshaw
Professor Openshaw has led a research team at Imperial College London for over 30 years on the immunology of respiratory viruses. He was President of the British Society for Immunology for 5 years and is well known for media work on pandemics. In 2022, he was awarded CBE for work on COVID and the Imperial College Medal for promoting respect, collaboration, excellence, integrity and innovation within the university.
