Shalina Patel
Shalina Patel has been a secondary school History teacher for 15 years and currently leads on Teaching and Learning in a large NW London comprehensive. Shalina was awarded the 2018 Silver Pearson Teaching award for Outstanding Teacher of the Year in a Secondary School. Shalina is committed to teaching diverse histories and as such is a regular on BBC radio and podcasts like Teach Me a Lesson. She has appeared in various documentaries such as the Black Panthers of WW2 and Hitler’s Engineers and her first book, The History Lessons, will be published by Icon in May 2024.
