Steve Tibble
Steve Tibble is a graduate of Cambridge and London Universities, and has honorary positions at the University of Kent and Royal Holloway College, University of London. He is one of the foremost academics currently working in the field of the crusades.
His recent publications include ‘The Crusader Armies’ (Yale, 2018), ‘The Crusader Strategy’ (Yale, 2020, short-listed for the Duke of Wellington’s Military History Prize), ‘Templars – The Knights Who Made Britain’ (Yale, 2023) and ‘Crusader Criminals – The Knights Who Went Rogue in the Holy Land’ (Yale, 2023). His most recent book, on two of the medieval world’s most iconic and extraordinarily violent groups (‘Assassins and Templars’), was published to critical acclaim by Yale University Press in 2025.
