Tim Richardson is a cultural historian and critic specialising in art, landscape and gardens. He is the author of more than 25 books on these topics including most recently The English Landscape Garden (2024) and a revised edition of The Landscape of Man (2026). He was previously gardens editor at Country Life, landscape editor at Wallpaper and a columnist on the Daily Telegraph. He is art critic at The Idler magazine and his 10-week online course on the history of the English garden is currently taught three times a year via Oxford University.
