George Fouracres

George Fouracres is an award-winning actor, comedian, writer, and one of the breakout stars of SNL UK. A graduate of the famed Cambridge Footlights, he first rose to prominence as a member of the acclaimed sketch trio Daphne alongside Phil Wang and Jason Forbes. Daphne earned an Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination for Best Newcomer and went on to create and star in the BBC Radio 4 series Daphne Sounds Expensive.
Widely regarded as one of Britain’s most versatile comic performers, Fouracres has built an impressive career spanning television, theatre, radio, and live comedy. His screen credits include The Franchise (HBO), Don’t Hug Me I’m ScaredSpitting ImageWhiskey CavalierPls Like, and Raised by Wolves. He is also a regular voice and writing contributor across BBC Radio comedy programming.
On stage, Fouracres has become a standout presence at Shakespeare’s Globe, earning acclaim for performances in HamletTwelfth NightMuch Ado About NothingThe TempestThe Comedy of Errors, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. His theatrical work has led critics to describe him as “probably the finest comic Shakespearean working today.”
In addition to his acting work, Fouracres’ debut solo show Gentlemon was praised for its distinctive blend of character comedy, storytelling, and reflections on his Black Country upbringing, later being adapted for BBC Radio 4. Whether portraying Shakespearean heroes, absurd comic characters, or scene-stealing sketch creations, George Fouracres has established himself as one of the most original and exciting comedic voices to emerge from the UK in recent years.
