The Greensleeves Project
Workshops & Masterclasses

With its haunting melody, and the romantic myth that it was written by Henry VIII as a love song for Anne Boleyn, Greensleeves has remained popular over the centuries and, today, is probably the best known of all Tudor songs. In the song, a man showers his would-be beloved with gifts, giving us a rich insight into the clothing, fabrics, and embroidery of the time. Join historian and musician Tamsin Lewis to discover more about Greensleeves, its legacy, and the work of the Greensleeves Project.
