Angela Findlay is an Anglo-German artist, speaker and author of ‘In My Grandfather’s Shadow’ (Penguin Transworld, 2022). An early career teaching art in prisons made her aware of the intergenerational consequences of unresolved crime and trauma. Drawing on her German family’s experiences in and after WW2, she explores war’s psychological legacies and how remembrance cultures can effectively foster healing, understanding and reconciliation. A TEDx speaker and Trustee of The Dresden Trust, she lectures widely in Britain and Germany.
